The Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH) region is one of the world’s most ecologically and culturally diverse areas, spanning several countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan. However, the region is increasingly facing a range of interconnected challenges including climate change impacts, natural disasters, biodiversity loss, and socio-economic vulnerabilities. The key components of the seminar will be transboundary collaboration, use of innovative technologies and solutions tailored to the needs of HKH communities, and share lessons learned and best practices to inform future interventions and policy decisions to save the Third Pole.
